Angela Adour, M.A.

Counselor

Angela first began counseling pastorally, within the local church, over two decades ago. She has extensive experience working with survivors of various types of traumatic experiences, those processing ministry burnout and church hurt, those experiencing various relational challenges, and with women who've experienced pregnancy loss, divorce, separation, and infidelity.

Angela earned her M.A. in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, a certificate in Trauma and Crisis Care from Rutgers University, and a certificate in Advanced Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling, with a research focus on trauma. Additionally, she holds multiple certifications in advanced clinical trauma counseling.

Drawing from over two decades of ministry experience, Angela enjoys taking a Christ-centered approach, helping clients process how the hope of the Gospel intersects with their own story. She has lived and ministered in NYC for nearly two decades, residing in East Harlem where she co-planted a neighborhood church, alongside her husband. There, she oversees pastoral counseling and takes a hands-on approach regarding mercy and justice ministry in the community.
