November 2024

November is National Adoption Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about adoption, bringing attention to the need for adoptive families for children in the foster care system, and emphasizing the value of lifelong connections.  Adoption is close to our heavenly Father’s heart as it is the picture of His covenantal love for us (Eph. 1:5). He cares for the orphans and the fatherless (James 1:27).  Adoption is one of the varied ways God brings families together and can teach us many truths about God’s love. But, it can also be a road mingled with many sorrows as well as joys. However, many of the unique challenges adoptive families face are not well understood by others or are minimized.

This month’s Toolkit will try to raise awareness of these struggles and share how best you can support adoptive families.
