Sharon’s passion is to destigmatize struggles and help clients take hopeful steps toward healing and growth. She has practiced in multiple settings and is experienced in anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, multicultural counseling, and pre-engagement/pre-marital counseling. She is passionate about building a strong therapeutic alliance to help clients feel comfortable and confident in session, and will always meet clients where they are at.
In session, Sharon utilizes psychotherapy, talk therapy, EMDR, and other cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic modalities. She aims to provide a warm, empathetic and safe environment to explore patterns of thoughts and behaviors.
Sharon completed her B.A. in public health with a concentration in mental health at Johns Hopkins University, and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She received additional counseling training at Westminster Theological Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary.
In her free time, Sharon and her husband enjoy exploring new cities and cultures, trying local cuisines, and loving on their cat as dedicated feline enthusiasts.
