Sungmin Kim holds an Master of Divinity with an emphasis in counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. He completed a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Michigan and a J.D. at Fordham University School of Law. Prior to joining Redeemer Counseling, Sungmin practiced law in New York and New Jersey. He found his calling as a counselor after experiencing gospel change in the midst of hardships with the help of wise counseling. His areas of interest include helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relational issues, and marital issues. Sungmin is an active member of his church in New Jersey, serving in the youth and discipleship ministries. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and is an avid fan of Michigan football.
